I love mine for drying tomatoes, which i then store in extra virgin olive oil in jars.
I also make apple leather - basically stwed apple which is then dried and rolled up. Absolutely yummy.
It's amazing what you can dry when you start. I would recommend investing in a dehydrator book, the US has has loads of them.0 -
The fruit leathers sound delicious, but I am a bit puzzled as to how you would dry a puree in a round dehydrator which seems to have little holes in the trays?0

You need to put a sheet of greaseproof paper under the puree.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Thanks for posting this, as soon as i saw it i went and ordered it.
I remember from an old thread everyone raving on about how good these were for various things but how tchibo didnt have anymore of them. Elsewhere they are quite expensive so these are a bargain at this price.
Can make dried meat sticks for my dog now too. Will have to look up that book now that everyone was recommending which told you how to do all the drying etc.0 -
Thanks for that Moggins
Would it be possible to make beef jerky in this?0 -

I know nothing about jerky I'm afraid, you'd need to talk to Jerkymeister on Downsizer for that informationOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
