Would you revise f/b?

Hi all
In November i brought a hair shampoo from a power seller on EBay. Item only came after i opened a paypal dispute after a month and after i had sent numerous emails and never had 1 reply back.
I left a neg feedback as i felt this was unacceptable especially being a power seller. They had other feedback with similar probs, no item received, no response to emails etc...
A couple days after christmas day i received a email from the seller explaing she had been ill and her manager had been looking after the business for her over last few months. Now Ebay are suspending her account on Jan 16th unless she can get all her bad f/b revised.
If i revised my f/b she would send me free products.
I looked back thro all her feedback and to be honest she had neturals especially for same probs going back a year not just last couple months when she had been ill.
I decided not to revise my feedback as i feel i received a poor service.
Anyway i have been emailed again with same message.
Looking at f/b now a couple weeks on she still has had 13 negs and 15 netural in the last month but a lot have been revised. her f/b is 99.5%.
Would you give benefit of the doubt and revise it??

Nio I wouldn't and I would not respond to any more enquiries.
It all sounds rather like a very poor excuse for bad sales and she's only bothering to do something about it when she fears suspension. if she had been that wrried she would have got her business manager (whatever) to have made sure her buyers were happy long before this.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks Soolin. I wondered if i was being harsh hence why i wondered what others thought.
I havent reponded back to either of her emails as they never bothered emailing back to me when i wanted to know where my purchase was!
I think it is just a excuse too as she has had 86 negs in a yr and 130 neturals. Plus at least 10 more neg have been revised to positives and that was only on the first few pages.Member of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0 -
Just wanted to agree with Soo as well. Sounds like she pulls this on a regular basis!0

No chance. You left bad feedback for a reason & to warn others of your experience. A bribe of free products should not convince you to change your mind. She received bad freedback from others for bad service, she cannot correct the bad service which she gave to her buyers just by asking them to amend feedback. I'd be livid if I were you, she ignored your emails then has the cheek to email you that!!
At the end of the day her lack of service & ignorance earned her the negs. I sell on Ebay & do everything I can to make sure it goes smoothly, hence 100% feedback.
If she can't offer decent service then fair play to Ebay for suspending her. That's her problem. She'll easily set up another account anyway I'd imagine. The less bad sellers on Ebay the better for buyers IMO.0 -

Why put someone on the dole when there's no need?
Why should someone be put out of business because of a few slip ups?
Just reverse the neg and feel good about what you've done.
Xmas spirit and all that."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Infact, why do we bother with feedback at all? Perhaps I could just send everyone I sell something too an extra gift in thanks for good feedback, although they would have to wait until I could be bothered to post it...“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

The seller could have a genuine medical condition that results in frequent hospital visits, it would explain the pattern of trading fine and then having the occasional blip.
Give them the benefit of the doubt, you could be causing grief for someone who genuinely does not deserve it.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

Then all it takes is an email to say 2sorry, am ill/have broken leg/hip/face...cannot post....
If they are not able to do this, or atleast add a disclaimer on the listing, then surely they should not be trading: what would you say if Tescos just kept not opening up shop? not giving any excuse or saying why, just not opeining...you'd go somewhere else, right? survival of the fittest and all that. So why is it ok for someone with a disability to be let off the hook.
And I say that fully standing by the fact I have a disability. I wouldn never expect anyone to make allowances like that for me, some allowances are required, but not ones like that!0 -
I had a similar problem today.
The seller actually phoned me up (I'm taking my number off ebay now), to ask me to revise feedback if he gave me a refund. He asked me to take a certain comment off, which I did, but had a big go at me for keeping it negative.
Stand your ground, don't let imcompetant buyers bribe you.0 -

The buyers leaving negs didn't put this woman on the dole though, she did that herself. Also if you read the OP this seller apparently has some sort of staff working for her, maybe she needs to take it up with them instead. Why employ someone and stillf ail to keep buyers happy. Most of us sellers manage quite happily to keep our buyers happy without having any extra staff.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
