Broadband without 12 month contract??

Hi dear friends,
I will be moving to Manchester and I will be having a BT line and am not sure whether I would be there after 6 months, so looking for a good broadband... any speed but without any contract.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Many thanks
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T

  • Virgin.net have a monthly contract, however last year they added a clause to their T&Cs stating they reserve the right to charge a fee if you cancel within 12 months. I think it is £50. I haven't heard of anyone being charged but the risk is there.

Plusnet do a monthly contract although you will pay the full connection fee if you leave before the year is up. Not sure if you will find an ISP who will give you free connection for less than a year because they have to pay this to BT.

Zen Internet - you have to pay connection fee (to BT) not the cheapest but good quality support (not foreign call center) and was given the full rating in PCPRO mag recently I think 6 stars out of 6
