I would highly recommend Jet2 and have used them regularly on flights from Leeds since they started about 3 years ago.
Efficient and friendly staff, allocated seats, uncomplicated web site with "Low Fare Finder", & are invaraibly on time.
I don't think that their in flight catering is expensive - ie. £1.50 for a hot chocolate/coffee.

I recently flew to Prague with Jet2. On time, helpful, but the plane was showing its age. However I strongly recommend you bring your own grub. The catering was woeful. I got an overpriced tuna sandwich that was really just a squashed oilslick in disguise & that was the best they had.

Hi.. Flown with Jet 2 a dozen times or more. No complaints and big check in area at Manchester. On ground floor (downstairs) of Terminal 1. Seats are allocated as well!
  • I flew from Valencia to Manchester with them last Easter when they had just started their Manchester service. I had flown out on Monarch Scheduled (to Barcelona), and thought Jet2.com was equally good. The staff were really friendly, the plane was very clean with leather seats. Good choice of duty free stuff, and bought 2 sandwiches and drinks on the plane which I thought were very nice and not extortionately priced. I suppose it was a bit more expensive than if you bought one in Boots before you boarded though.

Having flown with British Airways scheduled flight to Madrid in October, the service on that was dreadful, we had 3 hour delays at both ends, and the sandwich they gave you was absolutely disgusting.

Give me Jet2.com anyday, its far superior to BA
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you

I have just been to Tenerife from LBA, they have their own check in desks in a seperate area to the others, good flights, we took our own food so I can't comment on the overpriced sandwiches, going out we sat at the back and were frozen all the way, coming back we were in the middle section and absolutely roasted, a member of the cabin crew said it was always hot in the middle and cooler at the back and the front, a few of us managed to move back so it ws ok.

They are very keen on baggage weight, going out was ok, returning we were told we were 2kg overweight and charged 16 euros, we had only bought two tablecloths for the extra weight, you are allowed 10 kg in cabin baggage but only 20 kg in the hold.

I would recommend Jet2 it's a very friendly and efficient airline
  • Flown with both Jet2 and Easyjet and I prefer Jet2 - efficient, allocated seats, pleasant staff, the food is a bit pricey but it is quite nice with a fair choice, planes were clean. Easyjet were OK but I think Jet2 were better.

This is good news - booked to fly Manchester to Malaga in peak summer time. Booked early and got really good deal of £153 return each so we were just hoping that it was going to be ok. Sounds good so far!
  • I've flown from LBA with Jet 2 on a number of occasions and the flights have always been ontime, the airport and cabin crew very friendly and efficient and they have never lost my luggage. I highly recommend them as they are far superior to any other "no frills" airline. :T :T :T

i have flown out of lba with jet2 a number of times and booked 2 more return flights to majorca this year ,april and august ,book as early as poss for the best prices and if you fancy a sandwich while on board to majorca anyway, let them get from one end of the plane to the other takes about 15 mins max and they reduce the prices by 50%.
i would recommend jet2 as one of the better airlines i have flown with
  • Well we have booked now 4 flights to Amsterdam from Manchester in August.
Flights cost £31.96 (for all 4!)
    Tax and Airport charges £140!!
    Credit card fee £5
Similar prices to Easyjet from Liverpool.
    We shall see!
