Jet2.com - any good?

Options
Has anyone travelled with jet2.com.?
They have some good prices for flights from Manchester and wondered if anyone knew whether their service is up to scratch and are they reliable?
Any comments please.

I've not flown with them but I expect them to be like any other no frills carrier.

Service? What Service? Its a no frills carrier. I've flown with them about 10 times now from LBA, its on time & clean and have never lost my baggage. What more could you want from a low cost airline?

Thats what I wanted to hear. We fancy a few days in Amsterdam in the summer holidays with the kids - its an hour flight so food and drinks etc doesn't matter but I would like my luggage when we disembark in Schipol.

Fares are similar to Easy Jet who we have flown with before but Manchester is easier for us to get to rather than Liverpool.

    Thanks for the info.

I've flown with them a few times and not had any problems, just try to avoid the usual expensive on flight catering.

I frequently do leeds-amsterdam (i live in amsterdam these days) and one thing they have changed is moved all the low cost flights to the H pier, which, after passport control, there is a small lounge where you are supposed to wait for your gate number, and then a 10-15 min walk to your gate, which is very bare (no seats, shops, or anything. However, they do warn you beforehand to wait by the lounge until they announce your gate. Although its a bit of a walk, I think its made everything a bit more efficient, and it usually means, by the time you clear immigration, your bag will be there or arrive within 5 mins!
  • I travelled with them Manchester to Pisa and I was very impressed - no frills? Yes but at least you got booked seats with them and you didn't have to do the elbows out dash to sit with the rest of your family!!

I'd fly with them again any day!

Is that H pier at Amsterdam or Leeds? (Sorry have never been to Leeds airport and I know whatever stop you get at Schipol involves a lot of walking.)

Amsterdam. When you check in at AMS now, they give you a little leaflet with directions to the H area.

If you thought you where walking a lot to get to the plane before, trust me, this is like double the distance :) (depends of course what gate you get at H, but the nearest one is about 10min walk and further is about 20min!)

I have been to venice and barcelona ( amsterdam in march coming) with jet 2 and found them to be just right. I also agree that getting an allocated seat is a bonus on check in.
