mhagster I am the same ... I decided to buy myself some roses ... I have a big boquet reduced from £12.50 to £2.50 but scanned at £1 then a boquet of small baby roses which were reduced from £5 to £2 but scanned at 50p I paid for them on OH's card so he can now say he bought me roses lol they look lovely aswell

Hi Girls! How are we all?

I am pleased to announce that my cold/chest/manflu is feeling a bit better :T not looking forward to having to teach tomorrow but I will survive I suppose! My G'dad is looking so well which is but also because its all making it hard to believe Anyway, doing much better on all fronts!

Now...seeing as I missed the fun Valentine's preparations, I might treat OH to a nice day later on in the year instead, our own valentines

Also need to do something extra special for Mum as she really needs something good this Mother's day. But...she is SO hard to buy for Answers on a postcard right now! I'm thinking the scrapbooking route but not sure if a mother/daughter scrapbook would upset her especially the way things are at the moment?? Everyone is a little teary and emotional..don't need extra tears to complicate things!:rotfl:

WOW sounds like everyone is having a 'different levels but equally shiz' time at the moment I am so sorry to everyone who is miserable and I just wish I could make you happy or do something to make you smile.

I am sorry I have been away but it was V day yesterday (for what that was worth..) and then today was my daughters 3rd birthday. It has been so busy and chaotic that I have just been trying to get myself better to deal with it all (because obviously the whole family will fall apart without me to guide them through their lives step by step). Everyones posts need an answer but no ones posts are simple.

We should so all just meet up and have a laugh.. we deserve it!!

Rusty.. if you want to meet up with a crazed lunatic then I am more than happy I would take you for the biggest slab of cake ever and just have a chat about how useless men are until we cried and laughed..

I feel so bad about not coming on all weekend I have got to fess up to you. I haven't been on because I have been in such a funny mood lately. Seeing as it's kinda depressing round here I might as well add lol

P.S I like depressing.. it's good to feel some emotion from friends

When I was 6 I had melanoma cancer and I almost died because it wasn't caught until it was very late and also I was so little. I only got diagnosed because I was bullied at school for having a large birthmark on my face and I ended up having a nervous breakdown. Whilst in hospital they offered me cosmetic surgery to save me heartache and that is when they discovered it.

Long story short, I spent a good year in hospital on my own with no parents and eventually had to go to hospital school. When I came out I didn't fit in at school and then my own mortality hit me when my mum went through cancer and I realised how lucky I had been.

I have been an outcast in everything I have ever done since then..I think it is probably myself and the way I go through life because I have grown in that pattern. It might also be something to do with having half my backside grafted onto my chin.. (that was a joke.. half my backside would be a ridiculous amount)

So sometimes I get a bit scared about giving myself to people. Sometimes I read rejection when it isnt there.

Sometimes.. I feel like cancer is EVERYWHERE.. and I don't mind at all about you telling me.. It is important you tell me, honest.. it's just.. I can't stand the thought of someone else being so ill. Also..Their family being so sad, you being so sad and there is nothing I can do. It also reminds me that I am high risk and inside I have always had that gut feeling it will definitely come back and there is nothing I can do. It frightens the hell out of me on the days when I am not feeling 100%
