Hi Eveyone,
Also check out the footwear section on LXDirect. Great savings to be had on big name brands such as Nike, Adidas, Fred Perry etc.
Hope this link works:

Hi,
This is my first post but wanted to say thanks to all these great posts. Ordered Berghaus jacket and fleece for hubby they arrived today, used £30 voucher so only cost £90 altogether. I found this site just before Christmas and it has saved me loads! Managed to collect £90 in Boots points but still not managed to get anything from Tescos though. Thanks again to you all :T0 -
My jacket arrived today after ordering on saturday - excellent service and well chuffed. brill.
Thanks again. If at first you don't succeed - destroy all evidence that you tried.0 -
My jacket arrived today, excellent bargain only managed to get the normal Mera Peak, not the XCR but still happy
I have been looking around for a while for a new waterproof, so it's even a bargain I needed, rather than the normal mindless spending on bargains, thanks again op0 -
got mine today.XL size but not much room. Zipped the fleece into it and took the dogs a walk. I WAS FREEZING. I hope it copes a lot better when I need it to . "in real life"S!!!!horpe0

Noticed that they have some medium mera peak XCRs as back in stock as well as the small but not much good for us fatties.0

I'm gutted. LXDirect somehow managed to mess up my order and they deleted the Mera XCR and left me with the normal Mera that I'd ordered before the XCR came down in price.....Just hoping that either the Mera XCR or the Trango come back into stock in XL....0

Obtained mine on Monday after ordering it at the weekend, so Littlewoods is a very good service.
However, the jacket itself is very dissapointing, even for the discounted price. The zip is very difficult to use and constantly jams, the material is very thin hardly suitable for the cold, and even the small one is very baggy for me and doesn't tighten around the middle. The outside pockets are smallish and angled so not to my personal taste either. I will be sending this back, luckily Littlewoods appear to have a fee returns policy within 14 days.
OK if you are a serious hiker who walks endless miles in the rain it may have benefits, but for the average person who occasionally gets wet, one must be able to find a better value product. I don't think this is true money saving myself.
This shows you have to consider your genuine need and compare what you get with the price, a large discount means nothing.0 -
I am furious with Littlewoods as I they won't accept my order from the weekend yet accepted my housemates (who ordered first on the same day)! They have a policy of one account per address so that screws us people who share a rented house. Telephoned them but they won't relent. What terrible customer service.Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Perhaps you should have done some research on the coat before you bought it. Berghaus Mera's have been around for years now and have not really changed an awful lot during their time. They are aimed a specific customer and not really designed to be an everyday garment (although I used to wear my old Mera everyday without complaint). It all depends what you want. If you're after a totally waterproof/windproof activity coat, the Berghaus is just the ticket.
I concur; just because it's cheap doesn't make it good value if it's no use to you. However, these coats are genuine £250+ garments on the high street so if you picked one up for around the £100 mark, you did, in fact, make a true money saving.0
