hi i have just had a phone call from the multi sensory impairment service ,
they wish to come out and see me about my son who is deaf and partially sighted ,
i have only ever dealt with the hearing impaired service as his sight problems have only just been diagnosed .
has anyone dealt with this service before as i really dont know what to expect .
or even what they would want to know
any info would be gratefully appreciated thanks

Nothing to worry about they will just talk about any aids/adaptions that might be of help, will also go over what benifits you are getting to ensure you are getting any you are entitled to:beer:    :beer:0 -
The same thing happened to me, I've had hearing-aids since I was a toddler and as a teen was told I'd be blind by the time I left school. It's been over a decade since my diagnosis, I can still see and there hasn't been too much deterioration in my vision.
I can't help with the service you're asking about, as far as I know I've never had dealings with them (but, as I was a minor at the time my parents dealt with a lot of that stuff). If you've any other questions/concerns feel free to pm me if you like. I can't promise to be useful but I can definitely relate! What is your son's diagnosis by the way? How old is he?0
