multi sensory impairment service

hi i have just had a phone call from the multi sensory impairment service ,

they wish to come out and see me about my son who is deaf and partially sighted ,
i have only ever dealt with the hearing impaired service as his sight problems have only just been diagnosed .

has anyone dealt with this service before as i really dont know what to expect .
or even what they would want to know
any info would be gratefully appreciated thanks

    Nothing to worry about they will just talk about any aids/adaptions that might be of help, will also go over what benifits you are getting to ensure you are getting any you are entitled to

    The same thing happened to me, I've had hearing-aids since I was a toddler and as a teen was told I'd be blind by the time I left school. It's been over a decade since my diagnosis, I can still see and there hasn't been too much deterioration in my vision.

    I can't help with the service you're asking about, as far as I know I've never had dealings with them (but, as I was a minor at the time my parents dealt with a lot of that stuff). If you've any other questions/concerns feel free to pm me if you like. I can't promise to be useful but I can definitely relate! What is your son's diagnosis by the way? How old is he?
