Virgin media and moving!

I think this is more of a vent thread than anything else:p but if anyone has had any luck with them..........
I have been an on/off virgin customer for 9 years, we have now got to move onto base. Our eldest son has just been diagnosed as autistic and has been registered disabled for sometime, it's getting to the stage we have to move, 3 children under 6 in a 2 bed house is not good.
The local council have arranged a special needs placement and we are due to move after half term.
I renewed my virgin contract last May (stupidly) so when we move, I will have 2 payments left as you pay in advance.
They want to charge £120 on top to disconnect, as they don't supply to the RAF base    .
Absolutley furious, but I don't suppose there is much you can do, they won't just let me pay 2 months off, we have to pay the disconnection charge!
Never again!

My advice is move, pay the payments remaining and cancel then.

Even better if you can 'move' to another house within your area, friends, family etc and give them the box for 2 months, then give them 30days.

    MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. When a similar thing happened to me VM offered to reduced my services down to the cheapest level for all three services and let the contract run for the remainder of its time. No disconnection fees at all.

I ended up moving to a different place which was supplied my VM Cable so I never took them up on it.
