Happy lunchtime everyone - half way through the boring work day now!

    Today I have/will....
    • Had brekkie at home
    • Brought left over chilli and fruit to work for lunch
    • Using up frozen quorn escalope and salad for tea
    • Walk dog for free exercise
    • Get OH to buy milk!:p
    • Not spend any money at work on the evil vending machines
    • Not go to fat club - will weigh myself instead (saves approx £5 a week)
    • Have paid £600 off a loan (not cleared it but reduced it by a good chunk) with the "spare" £600 that didn't round up to the nearest £1000 in my savng account (IYSWIM!) - that means that there's only 13 months to go on it if I don't overpay again (which I'm going to try to do!):j
    • Have juggled a bit of cash around the accounts so I stay in credit until pay day
    • Think about getting my acrylic nails removed - will save £20 a month on the upkeep of them - shocking I know!
    • Try for a NSD (apart from gift vouchers I have to buy for mum's birthday) - managed it yesterday so it is possible!
    That's all for today.
Have a good one and stay warm!!

Hi everyone, not a very good start for me today, had to go to drs, and as I dont have a car at the mo, I had to get the bus - which has broken my run of NSDs.

The idea was to get daysaver £ 3.3o which would work out cheaper, but as one of my busses decided not to turn up, I had to get a taxi to get to the apmt on time- £8.50:mad:

Apart from that though I have-
    * Paid £10 chq in ( which I suppose covered the cost of the taxi)
    * Only spent £1.60 whilst out and that brought 2 boxes blueberries, sprouts and mushrooms!
    * Waited until I got home to eat although I was starving!
    * Found 50p :D

    And I will
    *Clean kitchen with stardrops
    *List more items on ebay

Thats it for now, stay warm everyone! x
Living as simply as we can

Morning all - oh gosh, it's afternoon. How time flies when you're having such fun on your second day back at work.

Grey stripey socks for me today. We had NO WATER last night as Thames water had b*ggered something up, which was interesting. LO was thrilled not to have a bath of course...

    So today I have:

Posted a video that I sold on amazon (yes, video, amazing huh?!)
    Checked and adjusted online banking
    DOne some pie slicing
Will be sending back the throw that I bought in the Lakeland sale as it's not quite the right colour...

And dammit, I gave in and bought a dress online int eh ghost sale. BUT it is an LBD so if it fits it will stay with me for ever, AND I've never bought anything from Ghost before but lots of people rave about them, AND it was only £30 reduced from £135! Which seemed like real bargain. And I do like my dresses. Have I justified myself enough yet?! LOL.
  • YAY just got 3 MS assignments for friday woohoo! That's another £24 towards the debts! :D

Also, been for a nice brisk stroll around the park (wrapped up very well, of course) lovely!!

Sounds like lots of people are having good days, glad to see all the positivity!

Olive oyl, well done on all the debt busting. How was Africa?

Rachel, well done on the huge debt payment of £600, thats fab.

Hugs to all those who are ill. Princess Loki, hope your OH gets the care and support he needs.

Sarah, i hope your mum is feeling a bit better and stronger.

Today is a fantastic day for me, am really enjoying this New Year. The boy i worked with did such excellent sharing today and was so well behaved, i love seeing children make progress.

Also, picked up my bike today, so will soon begin to ride to work one day a week.

Also, have picked up six mystery shops today. Five for monday, four are clothes shops, so i get some new clothes for free:j

Today isn't an overly busy day as i have big things to do today:

-Went to work and earned some pennies, we are all now working 15mins extra a day, every little helps
-I have picked up six mystery shops so will have free clothes galore!
-Had left over bread as a sandwich for lunch, saved it going off and me using any cooking appliances
-Finished off flat bottles of pop instead of opening a new one
-Picked up my new bike, the man even kindly wangled it so it would fit in the back of my small car!

-I will adjust invoice and type it out, then take it to second job so i can get paid
-I will go to second job
-I will cook tea from storecupboards

-I will check any further advances on O.U funding
    -Have done daily scratch card
    -Checked business emails
-Received sample pack of facial wipes
-Continued using up old beauty products
-Phoned college and got confirmation of my place on my child counselling course starting tomorrow
-The course fee has been reduced by £25, so am pleased as am paying this myself

-I will sort out clothes and beauty products for tomorrow morning, means i am all prepared for a change, plus i make time to use beauty products
-Put away tesco vouchers i received today
-Do a check for cheap theatre tickets for Wicked
    -Update spreadsheets and challenges
    -Sort through emails
    -Do any surveys
-Read my book for free entertainment
    -Read business site for advice
    -Read fave threads

    -Do review of 101 targets
    -Update blog
-I have found credit card pin numbers, was important i find these as for one of my mystery shops i have to pay gym membership up front and don't have enough in cash
-Pay council tax bill before the council moan at me:rolleyes:
    -Check online banking
    -check freebie section
    -Check freecycle for free things

    Have a great day everyone

Just came home from work early as it was freezing in the office, had some lieu time to use so it was fine.

Have just updated banking spreadsheet and found that when I get paid on 15th Jan I'll have £7.81 a day to spend, after food and bus passes. Am going to go back through it with a comb as I'm sure that's too much!

Downloading new episodes of One Tree Hill and Desperate Housewives to watch on the train to Northampton (meeting) on Friday so won't need magazines.

Took a shift at PT job next Friday afternoon, should be another £25 that I can put into my virtual sealed pot to throw at my loan in April :)

Found a potato! Passed through PT job, someone had left a bag with a big potato in on one of the cafe chairs, so will have it mashed with some veg for tea!

Sent all the food MOCs round the office this morning to try and help some other people out.

Joined Equifax on free trial through Quidco (£8 cashback), everything looks great and I am on the electoral roll with them (wasn't with Credit Expert)! Must write to Credit Expert to get monthly fees back because their reports were pointless without that.

Right, cow socks on and will go and get blanky off the bed to keep warm!
  • Hello all, well a good day today for me!
I went to town looking for a strapless bra for a dress. I have a wedding reception to go too next couple weeks. Didn’t find it!! And realised i don’t need one anyway the way the dress is made. Its a dress i got years ago in my spending days still has the tag on it!!
But i only spend 1.67 today in the end on lunch! I got some detangle spray with my boots points and i decided to try out asking for free stuff. So i went to perfume shops and counters in town and asked for free samples and got some! I have kate moss, Kylie, Paul smith, Beckham and Diesel! I also got some beauty cards from body shop and a free booklet about aromatherapy oils. I saved myself loads! So guys just ask!!
Also i got free boots magazine and free Asda magazine!
    What a result!!
Dinner is going to be heating up the lasagne from yesterday with some rice. Healthy meal. It went down very well too!
Updated my signature too with the change in my bank...the deposit getting higher slowly!
Angelflower...sending hugs for you feeling poorly. Try some hot squash to make you feel better.
Im going to lurk about tonight on boards see if i can find freebies too!
    Tallie

    NATWEST LOAN......5000.00
    CREDIT CARDS........5000.00
