Yes, it is the same when you re Tax your car with a car tax reminder.
Then cashier will scan the bar code on the letter you have, either a reminder or a demand in your case, then this will provide her with the details to tax and issue your disc.
Once you have paid, this information will be updated on to the DVLA records.
The cashier will give you your receipt back with your letter/reminder.0 -

Seeing as the new style MOT has been out since 2006, and every MOT only lasts 12 months. I don't think there is any old MOT's still in force.
