Halifax Website and phising warning

Evening all,
Been trying for a few days to access the halifax website (its added to my favourites) to check my online balances and for the last few days the site has just been hanging. Didn't think much of it and thought they were having a few gremlins.
But, about 2 mins ago I managed to load up the halifax home page clicked on the sign in button and then my toolbar warned me it was a reported phising site I was trying to access!
So, how has this happened?
Has Halifax been nobbled
or is it my laptop got some sort of crappy spyware on it?
