ITV. Fri 9 Jan, 8-8.30. PART 2 NOW Living Without Money

He's gone from sleeping rough to sleeping in a stately home in two weeks, without spending a penny.
He wants to smarten up before he leaves Bath. He reverse charge called his friend (£3.98 minimum charge). He wants money for a razor - he wants her to come busking with him. He has three places they can busk. She was good, he'd have got about 1p if it were just him.
They made £11.97 - that's dinner and a razor. He found a salon that does free hairdos. He hadn't washed it for a week (no excuse as he'd just stayed in the posh house! Dirty git).
And a party to thank everybody that has helped him in the last two weeks.0 -

She's a fab neighbour (cos she feels my spirit through the walls...she told me) but is now 80. She's getting forgetful (keys and such like) so I have to step in every so often.
They have some great goings on in the garden too....and I have been invited but I am too.....I don't know....tooo?? not scared, but wary.....but I watch and hear all the drums and chanting from my house anyway.0 -

Thanks, I didn't spot that! He also stayed in the guest house, which surely had washing facilities.0 -

Does anyone know if Timebank has a website?
I can only find Timebank.org.uk which is a volunteer site where you get nothing in return for your time or Time Banking Uk which is situated miles from where I live.0 -

I did think it was odd he went to Marjory's house, he looked a right scruffy herbert while there. The website though says "CRB checks undertaken on everyone working with children & vulnerable adults " - so I guess they bypassed that because of who he is/what he was doing.
Interesting it says:
<LI class=normal>Time banks have been given a Benefits Disregard by the Government. At present, LETS have not been awarded this disregard - members on benefits have to declare their LETS earnings. LETS schemes, with the backing of several government ministers, are trying to get this position changed.0
