We've been offered insurance for sky+ system £100+ per year. Looks like we could buy new box for that. Any opinions/experience of insurance or how to deal with breakdown if you don't have insurance? They say the dish/cabling is also covered. Anyone had any problems with either dish or cabling?
Many thanks.

Are you sure it was Sky calling you? BBC Watchdog uncovered a scam on this subject, where a company called pretending to be Sky and sold you useless expensive cover?

Don't do it. The cost of a Sky callout is about £65. That is probably less than the insurance quote. On the other hand, you may not even need a callout, so more money saved!0
