Abbey & buying a repo
Comments

in total there's 3 years.
06 - 07 - I have accounts for this year
07 - 08 - These are with the accountant
08 - 09 - I have an accountants reference for this year
It's the accounts for 07-08, and Abbey won't accept an accountants reference for 2 year.

it's a busy time of year for accountants, with all the tax returns due the end of the month.
Plus, the house we were buying was a repossession, we had 28 days to complete and it's gone on now for over 6 weeks...so the selling company are not likely to wait another 2-3 weeks for my accounts to be done.0 -
The positive might be it'll still be available when you can get a mortgage?

but the selling company will be less likely to accept our offer because we've pulled out this time round
I think the house will go to auction now0 -
Maybe not. The one I pulled out on is now showing at what I offered rather than being put in an auction. My partner did point out the EA would not hate me and not let me offer on it again if I changed my mind. Risk I'm prepared to take I think.0

ha ha, I'm not telling
I've spoke to the EA today to tell them the bad news, it seems like they've had hardly any interested and if we can sort the mortgage out when I get my accounts in 2 weeks, then they'd likely continue the sale where it left off.0 -
gotta be up north somewhere surely, prices are generally much cheaper there!0

I`m wondering if you`re near me. The repo houses here are going for that amount. I`m on a new estate.
I lost a repo but it wasn`t abbey`s fault. They put it to auction and they got less so all is not lost if you can get the accounts and a mortgage offer.0
