Hi all,
I need to purchase a new payg phone for my nephew, not too fancy. The only requirement is that it needs to be unlocked. Can anyone point me to any cheap deals they have seen lately?
Please any help will be greatly appreciated :T I need to get one quickly and am strapped for cash (but promises are promises)

If you really mean a basic but OK phone, then I got a motorola For £4.95 from CPW (needed £10 orange top up) for my 9yr old. It is a cracking little phone that calls/txts/has a couple of games and a pretty OK FM radio. Perfect for my DD.
THey went and reduced it to <£3 after a bought it too!!
It is unlocked and we'll probably use virgin wen she has used the credit ,0 -

Thanks for the info, I'll have a look at the CPW website :T0 -
Phones4U has a couple of phones for £4.85 each. Need to buy a top-up for £10. Do a search through these forums for previous posts and use a cashback website to reduce the cost even further.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

If you are able to, then buy the phone from a CPW store in person. At present they are doing the same deals as online. The £10 credit will be applied immediately to the SIM.
There have been quite a number of horror stories lately where phones bought online from CPW have not had the credit applied until a great deal of chasing and frustration by the customer.
I bought a cheap Nokia in store before Xmas and the £10 credit was applied immediately but I know of people who ordered online and are still waiting, despite numerous phone calls etc..0
