I bought a Wii in dec 2007 anf have had it in the box every snice really...decicded to get it out this xmas and I am guessing that really a need to update the software in it..

Does anyone know how and were to get the best download to get my Wii up-to-date

Is there anyway of calibrating the remotes to try and make them more acurate when trying to aim at things ?

If you give your Wii an internet connection it will sort itself out with getting the latest updates from Nintendo. You'll be prompted to download and install the update.

Check through your settings for Wiimote calibration and setup.

If your Wii is connected to the internet it will pop up a message to you when a system update is available so if you've not connected it you need to do that now.

You need to tell the wii where you have placed the sensor, below, above the tv etc so it can adjust it's settings to let the remotes work properly, have you done that ?

Wii Settings - Page 1-2-3 you can set-up your Wii.. It's really easy and will install no problems (or should). :D

If you do connect your Wii to the internet via a wireless router (it's WiFi enabled after all) you will also need to enter any password required for the wireless encryption system that the router uses. But it's all straightforward and the Wii prompts for this at the appropriate time ... just worth making sure you know it before you start!
