So although not officially stated it is equivalent to direct ISA plus 6% until 1 June?
Yes. It's certainly worth keeping until then, since the rate can't drop much further than it has, but you'll want to transfer out in June.

But I was very sure the advert for this definitely said something about not dropping the rate below 10% until 1 June 2009. I should have taken a screenshot I guess. Maybe I misread it.
They probably said something along the lines of 'earn 10% gross p.a (variable) ... including a bonus ... fixed until 1 June 2009' and you interpreted the whole rate as being fixed, rather than just the bonus rate.

Interest is now down to 6.3% (as of 2 March 2009) for anyone with this account. Not bad given the current climate! Hopefully it'll stay there till June now.

What does it revert to in June?

For anyone with one of these, probably time to initiate proceedings to move it elsewhere so it is in a better paying account by 1 June...
If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...

Still paying 5.8% but it was supposed to have gone down yesterday to the 'underlying Direct ISA rate' which I thought was 0.1%.

Website definitely still says 5.8% though (as of lunch time today). Can they change it later/tomorrow/next week/next month... and backdate the change to the 1st, claiming that that was what was in the T&C?
