good tip about not running 2 scanners together, mine doesnt seem to like it lol0
-
Well 2 or more really
The hard drive is already running the operating system (plus whatever else you might be doing at the time)
So when you scan the heads moving over ALL data checking it. As soon as you put ANOTHER scanner on the job, the heads moving all over the place constantly back and forth (Not wise):idea:0 -
learn something everyday
i havent done that often...will i have done much harm ?0 -
probably not if you've only done it once or twice...thing to do is get into the habit of setting aside an hour or two to do your scans, and do them one at a time, e.g. set one off before you get in the shower or cook a meal, then the next one once the first has finished, etc.....
for example, my normal cleanup routine is something like...
1. CCleaner Registry
2. CCleaner cleaner
3. EITHER MBAM, Spyware Doctor or SAS (depending on how the pc's been running
)
4. Disk Cleanup
5. Defrag if required.
I tend not to run a full avast virus scan as if anything happens it catches it at the time..

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple
