I got Carol Klein's "Grow your own veg Journal" from Waterstones. It was 9.99, but was in the 3 for 2 deal. I really like it. It is set out like a diary/journal, month to month tips and advice with space to write what you are doing in your own garden. Tells you jobs to do each month. Even has a few nice recipes in it too.0

I would reccomend this book that I got for christmas from my clever boyfriend. I have read a lot of 'grow your own' books in the last year and they all seem to be quite similar just regurgitating the same tips. Charles Dowling incourages working within your own situation and soil and has really brought me around to the no-dig approach.

The DG Hessayon series are my bible.
No waffle, no annecdotal stories, no waste of pages with arty farty over produced pictures of nonesense.
And very reasonably priced I feel.
Have a browse on Amazon for titles & "A look inside this book" for examples.0
