    Hi
We stayed at the Siva Grand Beach in Hurghada & it was my best holiday ever. Hotel was fantastic. We went past the Gren Hotel several times & it looked nice too. Close to shops & restautants- Must go to the Hard Rock Cafe. The Grand Resort looked better than the Grand hotel but it is more expensive.
We went to Marsa Alam in November & found it very very quiet. There is nowhere to go outside the hotels. We stayed at the Coraya Beach hotel which was ok but I wouldn't go back. I preffered Hurghada much more.
My hubby has been to Sharm a few times & thats his favourite resort in Egypt. Explorers tours always have some very good late deals. My hubby went with them last time & didnt have any problems.
Hope you have a great time wherever you go.

carole, this is LOngwoods web site. They are the best for Sharm. We went last new year. The intercontinental is beautiful. The hotel has an amazing reef. When you wake up there are boats moored close, just to be at the reef. There is transport to the town, and meals are cheap in town. If you go with Longwood they give you a discount card for the Hard Rock. I called them and said I liked the holiday they were offering but it was a bit too much. The girl on the phone said she could give us 16% discount off the special offer price. Whoever you go with I can tell you Sharm is gorgeous if you snorkel or dive (we snorkel).
The intercontinental was brill, the Hyatt next door is better but more expensive. The King of Bahrain was staying when we were there. My mum is going in feb but to a cheaper hotel with friends.
    Hope you have fun.

matt ..I agree Longwoods do sometimes have good deals but rarely are they cheaper than Thomsons, eclipse or mytravel.
    example.
Inter with longwood 2448 on half board in beach front room
    Thomsons same 1992

Iberotel Club Fanara AI sea view with Thomsons 1782
    Longwoods same 2490

Jolie Vilie Movenpick Golf Rst Thomsons sea view half board 1868
    Longwoods same 1886

Ritz Carlton Thomsons sea view BB 2002
    same with Longwoods 1574

Only 1 came up cheaper with Longwoods
The point I am makeing is always always shop around never stick to one even if they gave you a good deal in the past
