Go to Tools --> Options, select the 'Mail Setup' tab and then ensure 'Send immediately when connected' is checked.

Just beat me to it,, though how do you get Outlook to Open in the Inbox as just like OE

As above but choose the 'Other' tab, select 'Advanced Options....." under 'General' then check 'Startup in this folder' and browse to the Inbox folder.

Thats the One by why a workaround like that though, by the way would you say that Outlook is better than OE?

Edit: I just tried the bit about send/recieve on start up and it didnt work

Not really a workaround - just a different menu structure to the one you're probably used to.
