Outlook 2003

How do I get my e-mail to perform a send/receive when I open Outlook? I just cannot seem to get it to perform, although it has done this in the past.

I have Outlook 2002, so not sure if it will be the same.

Tools>Options - Go to Mail Set Up tab
    Put a tick in Send/Receive
  • That appears to have already been done but it still does not send and receive when opening Outlook.

Tools > Configure email -> Send and recieve
Schedule a send and recieve every x minutes

    Or

Go to Tools | Options, Click the Mail Setup tab, click the Send/Receive button. There should be an option there to set an automatic Send/Receive by how often you want it to Send/Receive.

On the Mail Set up tab, if you click the Send/Receive button another window opens up called Send/Receive groups.

I'll tell you what mine looks like

In the window it says Group Name - All Accounts
    Send/Receive - Online Only

And the first 2 boxes are ticked
    - Include this group in send/receive
    - Schedule an automatic send/receive every 5 minutes

Intel - followed your instructions and it looks like I have been down this path before as I have set it to send and receive every couple of minutes.

However, I know I have previously had it set to send and receive immediately I logged on to Outlook, and I cannot seem to get it to do that since the rebuild. Presently I have to manually press the send and receive when I open Outlook as it does not seem to do what I wish it to do.

In fact, I have just been watching it and I cannot see the send/receive coming up at all at the moment, and yet I have set it to every couple of minutes.
