you could access the site "say no 0870" i think martin mentions it somewhere,if you know the company name you may be able to get an alternative number,or could go to cab and ask advice about contract law.0

I think this is a good reason to take the Direct Debit option, unless things have changed recently. You can cancel the DD with your bank, and as a matter of courtesy drop them a quick letter. You are in control of the cancelling, and don't have to wait for the next available operator on their profit-making number.Thanks in advance,

It reminds me of one of those timeshare presentations in Florida where you have to go into three different rooms if you say no, each time being subjected to increasing levels of pressure selling until the last chap finally resorts to calling you an idiot for not buying...Happy chappy0

Thanks to everyone for these tips. I need to cancel from Lovefilm this week and was hoping I wouldn't have to phone up the premium number. I will trying cancelling online after 10.00pm first and, failing that, will cancel my direct debit and send them an email.0
