I know what you are saying but I don't want to cause me or my family any more problams, I would like to pay it back but fairley without being ripped off, If I am sure I have a good case I will have a go at them, That's why I am on here hopeing for some good advise, Thankyou regards steve

    Steven,

Whether you applied for the card or not you have spent the money. You are now looking for a get out cause. Do you not think you are trying to rip off the card provider. Take the honourable way out and pay your debt but try and negotiate a lower rate with them.

I meant it in an entirely nice way, these forums get the odd post or two from new members looking to wriggle out of paying debts, sometimes for good reason, often not. So was a very refreshing change to read your post!

Good for you Steven 17, for actually wanting to pay off what you owe.

Will some of you others read the posts, he's not one of the usual dodge merchants!

Re post on the DFW board, you'll get plenty of help there.

    Good luck!

Hi, I phoned MBNA today and was told that I am on 34% interest and that they can do this as is it in my credit agreement, I explained again that I have never signed one and that I can no longer afford to pay this amount, The guy said that he would request a copy of the agreement and send it to me within a week I told him this is the third time I have been told this and nothing had arrived, He then said he would get a manager to call be back, They called back within 5 mins and reduced the interest rate down to 24% I asked where I stood when they could not provide an agreement the manager actually said she did not what to say but gave me her name and direct number and asked me to call back in a week if I had not recived it, I told her I am looking for an interest freeze for 18 months she said someone will get back to me,

You have asked for the CCA in a phone call. Have you ever sent a WRITTEN CCa request?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
