    Hiya,

I'm female (aged 26). Generally I understand that men lose weight much quicker...not too sure why...however I'm quite happy with the results so far (6 and a half stone; in just over three months :j!) It may be because I had quite a bit to lose that it came off quicker? But there is also another girl in my group who lost 6 stone in the three months too. However on average, Lighter Life suggest that the expected weight-loss in three months is 3 stone or so.

    Hope that helps! :)

Well done on your weight loss! Guys lose weight quicker as they generally have much more muscle mass & muscle burns fat x
  • Thank you...it's been hard work, but worth it!
(Currently 1lb away from 7 stone loss!)
  • Hi

Could some of the people who have been on LL please advise me if you had the energy to exercise during your time sticking to the diet. I am worried that I wont have any energy on just 500 calories a day. Im starting the diet next week so fingers crossed!!
  • Generally LL advise you not to do a lot of strenous activity whilst on the LL plan. The focus is mainly on toning/pilates-type exercise whilst in Abstinence (the first 12 weeks). However if you speak to your LL counsellor, I'm sure they can advise you further.

Hope that helps....and best of luck on the plan! :)

Hi, I've re-started LL last week, after putting off going back to it for ages. Just had my first pop in (day 4) and have lost 11lb already. Woo hoo!!!

When I did it before, I found it amazing and had enough energy to go swimming, play with my daughter more etc etc. The reason I gave up was that I hurt my back and had to take strong painkillers forcing me to eat real food, my partner of the time dumped me and he was the main reason I was doing the diet, as he said I was beautiful but would be even better if I lost a few stone....

Not falling for that kind of trick again, this time I'm doing it purely for me and my health. I have a lot to lose, but am very happy with how it's going so far.

Yes, it is quite expensive and I'm not sure how I'm going to do it but already I feel fantastic, both mentally and physically. Think I need to join the Make £10 a day challenge on the DFW board, and enjoy the increased health benefits.

I have a LOT to lose, so this isn't going to be a quick-fix for me. Really inspired by the 6stone loss in 14 weeks, I'd be thrilled if I could get near that myself.
