.
Recieved the Toshiba 32Z44B TV and SD26VB vcr/dvd yesterday as ordered. As usual, the stand comes with a couple of small bashes as standard!
And one of those clips to clamp on the glass shelf decided to break in half! Oh well, I'll contact Toshiba to see if they could send out a replacement.
Overall a great package for the price, many thanks to the OP!

Show me a 28inch LCD TV under £800 that's gonna give you anything like the picture quality of this £228 28inch CRT and I'll show you someone with either too much money or too much debt.0 -
Not sure which tv is best, I suspect the 28Z53B has better sound but with the disadvantage of its size ?0

Have just tryed my 28Z53B and yes it weighs alot but there is a high pitched whine coming from the tv ? Looks like a phone call to lxdirect tomorrow ?0

Phone lxdirect today and asked for a replacement as the 28Z53B looks like a dud, after first checking that the web site had the 28Z53B was in stock. But was informed that the package is showing out of stock ( 32Z44B TV and SD26VB) and I am not allowed to just swap out the tv ? Looks like the end of a bargin ?0

Why not get it fixed under warranty - probably easier to deal with Tosh directly.0 -
Well I got my TV. Good TV, but there is some noise from the TV when it is switched on. Not that loud, a low buzzing even when the volume is muted. Is this normal?
I also got the SD16VB. This model gains DivX playback (and plays more types of media) over the SD26VB, but loses progressive scan which the SD26VB has. So i'm not sure which one is better, as it depends what feature is more important to you. Both are roughly the same price in the shops.Titch0 -

Have read other reviews about the background noise. Seems like its inherent in this model. My Sister has this model TV, paid much more for it but is very happy with it. Small footprint, nice screen, looks good too.

Just realised - I've noticed some newer tellies whine more than others - probably a result of cheaper manufacturing.0
