Nearly got my expenses sorted... just need to go out to the car and locate some receipts :o as they aren't in my handbag or on the desk...

Does anyone live near Winchester and want a voucher for 15% off a haircut in Haringtons? I've just found one in the depths of my handbag. It's a refer a friend thingy, so I don't think it has an expiry date... PM me your address if you do...

sezz - probably best to get one of those mould inhibitor paints to go over the patch otherwise it will come through the new paint - it seals over the existing stain - oh, and open the window a crack if you're drying the clothes in there as it reduces condensation

Yes opening the window is one of those pieces of advice I fail to hear. It's just so cold in that bathroom without artic winds waltzing in. Now planning a trip to B&Q for some paint though. I think I might even go wild and get a toilet roll holder as that will discourage the savages from throwing it over the floor. Thank you.

WELCOME TO THE WEEKLY FLYLADY(AND GENTS) THREAD

A new thread is starts on a Sunday evening via a link from the current thread so keep a watch out and dive in!

Make sure you read the first post carefully as it contains all the info and abbreviations that we use!

A new list is added to the 1st post every evening by pigpen our illustrious leader and by the weekend you will have been round the whole house.

Dont get stressed with the mess just try to do the list to whatever level you can manage depending on your home circumstances - work, children OH's!!!!

Even if you only manage level 1 everyday when you come back to that room next week you will find it is easier and as time goes on it becomes more manageable and you will see huge differences - I know it sounds impossible but I can vouch for the fact it works!!!

Remember your home didnt get in a mess overnight so dont expect it to get tidy in a day!! Dont try to do the whole house at once - you will tire yourself out and sicken yourself - we have all tried it!! BABYSTEPS - little and often and you will be amazed at the improvement.

POst what you have done and forget about what you missed - there is no such thing as failure on here!!!

Dont worry if you cant keep up with the thread it moves very fast just now - just pop in and post and let everybody know how you are doing!

The support, encouragement and friendship on here is simply THE BEST! ask any questions and we will give you our tuppence worth - sometimes sensible sometimes totally insane!

We dont bite - well most of us dont -have fun!!
WELCOME to the totally bonkers mad house!!!!
    toots xx:D :D

    Hi All!

Just thought I'd check in on my dinner break - there was a computer ban inour house yesterday, so I couldn't come on & have a catch up.

    I'm still only a newbie - but I'm HOOKED!

My extra's list for this week:
    1. Put decorations away (yes, I know, I should have lready done it, but they look so lovely & christmas - y!)
    2. Make gift tags for next christmas from the cards
    3. Clean washing machine
    4. find the floor under washing mountain :o
    5. Try and eat my way through the freezer (to defrost it!). There is more ice than food in there!
    6. Make myself a proper list of everything I need to do in the house to de-clutter and organise myself (and then put it away in a dark place becasue I know it will frighten me!)
    7. Finances spreadsheet for 2009 - I'm fed up of only having money for the two days straight after payday each month
    8. Clean my monstrous desk at work

My M.A.C.A.W. this week is: Go to bed early!
As I get up at 6am for work, 1am is not an appropriate bed time!

Right, off back to more work - I could stay on here all day! :rotfl:

I'm in (again!). I've signed up a couple of times in the past but lapsed when other things (like doing my family tree or Christmas) came along. But I want to do it again. Reading the thread last night prompted me to clear the pans from dinner time before I went to bed so that I could come down to a clear sink!!! It only took about five minutes once I cracked on! I think that's my problem - I spend more time thinking about not wanting to do it then it would take to do it!

So far today I have sorted all the clean washing, put two loads of washing on, made soup to freeze for lunches, mega cleaned (upto level 3!) one bathroom and am going to tackle the other two and try to clear the ironing (which is threatening to take over the living room!). Also want to go on wii fit which I got for Christmas and have managed to do every day so far (and not just the fun games but the proper exercises!)

But I'm back to work tomorrow..........
