Posting first and reading after
Afternoon all.
No washing today!
I've done the kitchen properly, damp wiped the living room and computer desk, vacuumed right through downstairs and done the stairs and landing.
Went over to the shops and picked up the dog's tablets and paid the paper bill.
Welcome to newbies, hope nobody's ill, off to catch up0 -
Talking about wiping mouldy bits away ;-)
I have a patch of black mould on the bathroom ceiling. Do I merrily paint over it and hope it doesn't come back too quickly or is there a magic paint / cleaning substance I should use. I have a heater / extractor fan in there but fear it may be from drying clothes on the electric towel rail. Naughty me...... but no tumble dryer in this house.
Oh how things change in a week - I'm normally too busy tiptoeing through the detritus to notice the ceiling but today I have a clean bathroom floor. It's a miracle................Toxic & Tired - Starting 2010 afresh :beer:0 -

But shakes self - can't get too down as DS not back to school until tomorrow and don't want him to pick up on things. We've had a sprinkling of snow and he's happily playing outside making a baby snowman.
Feel a mad cleaning frenzy this morning, and have another small person to mind this afternoon which will help. But its going to be a looonnngggg day until I hear if things are to stay as they are or whether we have a big problem.
Will pop on and off I think for company if no-one minds.

My clothes have been getting much tighter over the past few months - and I didn't have any scales as the ones I had were broken. I bought some the other day. I am back to the weight I was in Jan 2006 - and I had managed to lose nearly 2 stone, so back to square one :mad::eek:
I know what you mean - I'm back to the weight I was January 2007  Most of its gone on this past month, just hoping my work clothes are still presentable tomorrow! Thank goodness I can wear jeans and casual tops
MOAM- thinking of you and yours today.
Pigpen - If you ever find somewhere that sells knee high boots for big calves can you let me know - the only ones I've ever been able to wear were lace up doc martin type ones but with a heel ... I really regret giving them to the charity shop when DD was born
G&B - I have 2 davina ones and I love them... they made a big difference to my fitness levels last year and then I stopped doing it when DD finished school for the summer and never got back into it... maybe that should be my MACAW for next week - start working out again
Right...whats my list then...
Personal :- [strike]Post ebay items[/strike]
- [strike]Asda shop (tippex, salt. cucumber, lettuce)
:p Paying with CASH
[/strike]
- [strike]Job center - 10am (ask about possibility of a NVQ level 3 somewhere or the alternative of me being an OU student full-time as of May)[/strike] System playing up so I'll ask in February at my next appointment
- Assignment.
- Check bank for CSA payment  Checked but no sign yet... have moved other benefits across though
- Get stuff ready for placement on Tuesday - possibility of me having some prep/study time
- Extras:
- WM x2 (so far
- TD x 2 (only HH each then onto the maiden - also warms the kitchen up a bit)
- Spoken to mum on the phone and walked around while I was at it
- Coffeetable cleaned + thumb whacked (stiff now and redish
) & shoulder hurting even more after pulling a muscle in my back this morning  wouldn't mind but its my right side and I'm righthanded
Level One
Clean the sinks, baths, toilets, showers etc
Level Two
Wash the window and clear the sill
Wipe the mouldy bits away
Level Three
Scrub down the tiles
Vacuum the floor
Extras- Empty and clean out the bin
- Polish the mirrors
I got to bed at 11pm last nightI forgot I needed to make my bed, and sorting the washing took longer than I thought. Then this morning I slept in until 7.20 (should have been up at 6.30) then my phone battery went but I didn't realise until I wondered why the reminders for DD to do her hair etc didn't go off
Oh well, she made it to school on time, and I managed to do Asda & the job centre (including calling home to drop of the shopping in-between) in 90mins
:j
I double checked the price of the game I got for my DSlite the other day - its priced up on the shelf as £24.17Its called "My health coach" and I'm impressed with it already - my new pedometer plugs into it and actually accurately counts my steps
Already I've lost 2lb and I've only been using it since New Year :j I'm also enjoying using it as I can set challenges on a daily basis, I just didn't realise how good I was already doing when it came to making healthier options so I'm guessing portion size (which I'm working on...kitchen scales have appeared again...) and exercise is going to be the key. It says I need to walk a minimum of 5000 steps a day, and so far today I've reached [strike]6638[/strike] 6984
:j Only problem I'm having is that the food diary is in cups so I'm having to estimate (going by the calories it says are in a cup) how much I'm eating so I can record it.
DD is going to be chuffed when she gets in - she has 50 packets of "pretty princess" stickers to work through, that should keep her busyShe's also sold a 3rd lot of stickers on ebay - Which reminds me :
Those who sell on ebay - if I'm selling stickers where the buyer gets to pick which 10 they want for a fixed price, how would I do the multiples items available thing? ATM I'm listing all the stickers, allowing the auction to come to an end on BIN then relisting the item with the bought stickers edited out so its costing me 40p a time...is there a cheaper way?Anyone who can help but doesn't understand PM me and I'll send you a link to one of my auctions
so you can see for yourself.
Right, best get myself some lunch and something other than tea to drink as I can feel the icky feeling I get when I've drank too much starting:wave:

Ditto, big hugs.
I just punched myself in the face trying to dismantle one of DD's toys:rotfl: Anyone have any use for a fairly large girls wendy house style tent thing? Hubby bought it from john lewis last year and i hate it so it has been dismantled, it is a lovely tent if your child has a large room or a garden to put it in, but as we have neither it has to go!The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

european computer driving license
crazy name... it gives you about 3 certificates when you've finished. It's an online course which I'm doing through LearnDirect. I'm hoping it'll make me more employable when I've finished
Supposedly there are jobs out there for single mums.....funny when you watch the news, but apparently the govt thinks there are plenty of jobs for a whole new lot of mums when everyone else is losing theirs
