    Afternoon all

I've been to see Nan. I think she is a tiny bit better today. She is not getting enough physio to get her walking in my opinion but it tough going when it is NHS. Dr was ok when I spoke to her but put all the problems down to the infection and old age (she is 89). She will definitely be in there a few more days so I'm hoping a bed becomes available in another ward to get her moved. I'll speak to my friend who works in social care there later if I can.

DS3 was very good in there but is screaming at his brother now.

I'm going to do a HHC 16:00-16:30 whilst DS1&2 remove rubbish and dirty clothing from their rooms and then I'll do dinner.

Toots - I'm glad you have another couple of months without any treatment

Greenbee - happy birthday - I know you are very ethical with purchases but hope you had something nice as a present.

Reya - would soaking your feet in some warm water help?

  • What about asking on Freecycle? People are often giving stuff like that away on there and then you can have nice UNCHIPPED plates and cups... ;) I need to replace a lot of mine and was thinking about it at the weekend - Pigpen is psychic you know!!!

I was thinking about Freecycle earlier whilst I was cleaning the fridge, cos basically the plastic drawers in the fridge door and salad drawer are held together with masking tape! And that gives me a good excuse not to clean em too often, its the gunge that holds em still together! LOL But I thought I may ask if anyone has a fridge going begging> May ask about crockery at the same time, thx!:D

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! The cake has gone down well, and my team have bought me a vase, some flowers and a bottle of wine! I'm really touched, as in general, as a company, we don't do birthdays... and I don't know of any other manager whose team give them presents!

Toots - glad the appointment went well.

Recycling - yes, it keeps things out of landfill, and although there has been a bit of a slow-down in demand, recycled metal etc. is cheaper, so demand will probably pick up.

Just dropping in quickly to see how you all are... Keep up the good work!
