Sorry to hear your father isn't improving as rapidly as you hoped, not sure what to suggest other than for him to be out driving as soon as possible. Personally I still get nervous with icy conditions some 17yrs after my major accident on black ice, so it may be a case of helping him to manage the concerns rather than to get over them if you get my meaning :A0 -
[/FONT] My car reads 30.4mpg but when distance and actual fuel added is considered it comes out at about 28.8mpg... ?
Stuart, car speedometers almost always overstate the speed to ensure manufacturers are not blamed for causing sppeding offences. Therefore, mileages will never be spot on either and consequentially MPG's. Should only be used as a rough guide.RosieTiger - Highest £242,000 Feb 2004
Lightbulb Dec 2008 £146,000 by March 2026:eek:
MFi3T2 and T3 No 28 - Dec 2009 Start Balance £117,000

I agree that's why my spreadsheet is about to be updated having fueled todaybut most people refer to the in-car data when discussing the economy they get and it is surprising how this value is better than the reality if it is a mere "feature" which cannot be accounted for with accurate system, it should I guess also lead to cars which under declare economy too...;)
