Taka, a lot of windows can be repaired very well to almost new condition for a fraction of the price of replacement. If you get nearer the time and are considering this please pm me and I can email you some tecnhical guidance and the like on doing this sort of work.
    Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81
    Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off
    Met NIM 23/06/2008
  • Actually thinking about it perhaps I will give the kitchen a miss! Fewww what a saga taka and twinkle!

Good news , hubby got his figures wrong, we are actually at 58.49% not 58.17%, every little helps as they say:j

Managed to pick up a couple of MSs for next month; I have to say this month, although still lucrative has been the quietest since I started:mad:

Thanks Dinah! :D Yeah I'd rather keep them if possible... they've done more than a century keeping out the weather and I like them too. The ones in the livingroom still have the origional beehive style handles which I love! Hopefully a spot of TLC from someone knowledgeable will be all they need... Replacing sash cord is about my limit! :D

Congrats on the increased % TPA!
    Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

  • Bit of an update, this months savings are £2,100. :jNot sure if I calculated it before or not! This figure was taken into account to get to the 58.49% though!

  • Hello, I'm back..did you miss me??:rotfl:

Hubby is in sooooooooo much trouble, I have just been through our credit card statement for this month, there is a transaction for £7.99 marked Welcome Break. On questioning (thumb screws at the ready!) he admits to buying breakfast on the road!!! Omg thats like the price a very good bottle of wine:eek:

    Some good news:
    • I have been offered £100 from Halifax for there c**k up, am not happy as such as I would have rathered they hadn't made the mistake in the first place...but hay h its done now.
    • I've sold our old bedroom furniture (it scrubbed up quiet well!)
    • My niece got great results in her A levels and has got into her prefered Uni - i'm very proud of her.
    • It's payday:j
    • I've got two rather lucrative MS jobs for Monday and a third not so lucrative - but every little helps as the Asda ad. says

3.gif poor man, I pity him, I really do, incurring your wrath :rotfl:
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
