Today, so far, I've spent £0.00:j Is this the sign of things to come
I am giving blood tomorrow:Aso don't think I ought to have a 'drinky poo' tonight.
Hubby got called into work:mad: (it costs us when this happens as he doesn't get overtime payments and its a 40 + mile round trip so the extra petrol and wear n tear on the car is a pain)...oh well, I supose we should be greatful he has a good job.
The dog has kindly thrown up in three different places:mad:. The cat tried to help clear it up TMI I know!
I have been having a sort out in the living room and found two Wii games from last year that still have the cellophane wrappers on:mad:. Must get round to ebaying them.
Hubbys game has still not been dispatched from Tesco:mad:
A very dear friend of mine has just told me her father is terminally ill, what do you say in these situations? I can only think back to how I felt earlier on the year when my Dad had his accident and how scared I was, I just cannot imagine what she is going through at the moment. It's just so sad.

Seems you are balancing the spend and income (just) so well done.
Regarding your friend, the best you can do is make sure you chat to them including things other than the illness and simply "be there" if they want to talk. The only positive thing I can think of, is that warning allows all family to have chance to close out any issues and say goodbye - but I realise that isn't much help.
Hope 2010 is good for you.0 -
TPA,
My mum was diagnosed with teminal cancer in the summer of 1998 and a decade later I still remember the small things people said and did for me. Cards, flowers, kind words, a simple hug all help - honestly.....
.....on a more positive note have a very happy new year

Money Queen how many Kiplings do you own? I had a great Christmas thank you, hubby and I don't buy each other much as we would prefer to wait for the sales. Also my inlaws tend to give us money, hence the Kipling bag! I am still looking for a pair of boots though.
I went sales shopping today and spent th grand total of £13.17:A

Thanks SMF, have changed the title now! ~EDIT-It didn't work!
Thank you everyone for your advice too, makes me realise I can help just by being there for my friend.
Money Queen, two Kiplings, you lucky thing!! Which ones you got?
Will on the money front, my first boots arrived today, and the zip doesn't work, they don't have a relacment pair in my size so thats me nearly £50 better off:rotfl: Every cloud and all that!
Went to do a MShop today and managed to resist the urge to spend money (except for £1 in the charty shop for which I got anew cat collar, fold away wter bowl and a dog toy! Bargain me thinks!

If Kipling bags are sooo necessary for MSing... can't you put them down as expenses? Vital equipment surely won't be quibbled on a tax return!!!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0

I have: http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/app.detail/params.item.138483
In brown came with a purse too! (Arrived today:j)
and this is the one hubby bought me for Christmas:
http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/app.detail/params.item.145451
in escape grey, which is more like black! I like the ones that can been worn across the body & with grab handles! I'm greedy.
Yes, I am quite sure I would not be able to MS without a Kipling bag!

Personal spends:
OK, I am going to set myself a limit:eek:.
I account for pets, insurances, household bills, car maintenance, sky, professional fees etc. in the main budget but am going to try (again) to grocery shop on £200 per month and personal spends I am going to give hubby £75 and me the same (read as double!). So now to add to the main budget £150 personal spends (between us) and £200 grocery:eek:. Hubbys will be spent on takeaways and mine on wine:p:rotfl:.
Its New Years day tomorrow so I will start a new diary! As the title of this one will be out of date and I cannot seem to change it!
