Are people still using this and how are they getting on with it?
I would be worried that I would end up with a huge call charge on my bill, but if it is ringing my phone and I answer, there is no way it could do that right?!?0 -

I worked out that, although I don't pay for national calls by the minute, I spend at least £40 a year on connection charges. Poketalk and nonoh.net (paid for voip hybrid calls) do not charge for the connection.
The only problem with Poketalk is that the connection can be quite bad (cuts out like a satellite phone).I would be worried that I would end up with a huge call charge on my bill/QUOTE]You don't give them your payment details and your landline does not make but receive a call.Dagobert0 -

You are not making any outgoing call,s using the service so this would not arise.;)
If you have any inclusive 01/02/03 minutes this provider might be of interest.

Hi All,
I thought i'd share one of my favorite finds.
free international calls to many locations.
10mins per call, cuts after 10min 20 secs.
No issues or problem hanging up and calling again.
You use you PC, enter number in to website, it rings your landline, it connects to the number you wanted.

Great service, used it for about 6 weeks now.Calls are free but limited to 10 mins.I think the monthly allowance is only 30 calls but very handy for the ocassional daytime call for people with free evening and weekend calls.0

have been using PokeTalk for over 3 months now.
30 free calls per month; 10 mins/call max.
As I often call India which is not on their free list. Rate is cheap though and no connection charges like those 0844 based services.
So I paid $20 for their PRO service. Still got $16 left :-)
No probs with quality or relability. It is a ring back service. Would have been a bit more easier it I could configure it into my VoIP phone.
But all in all a gr8 service.0 -
When I saw the thread title I thought it might be some sort of off-shore naughty premium rate service. Disappointed now, lol.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0
