AOL contract

Been with AOL for close to ten years. Each time I want to leave they persuade me to stay with a cheaper deal. My only caveat has been that I do not want to be under contract with them and they have always agreed. My last change to a cheaper deal with them was to £10 a month about a year ago. Now finally I want to move to O2 but AOL saying I am under contract and threatening to charge me if I leave. Any ideas on what to do?

Unfortunately you have to see your contract through. If you signed for a year then your contract should end soon. Keep an eye on the date.
Make sure you have all the details you need to move to another provider. I think that another hurdle some providers use to buy time.
I have heard they are ruthless but I'm sure you'll find a way out. Good luck. I hope someone else who knows more about this comes to the rescue.0
