Can someone explain to me how the swapping works? If I put a load of books on there, how is someone going to offer me something I actuallly want in exchange? Is it always a similar type of book or something??0

no you don't have to swap your book, if they request to swap with you you then look at a list of their books and decide if you see anything they have that takes your fancy.Need to get rid of my Yankee Candle Habit, Not very money saving of me0

It's like this:
1) You choose a book you like on the site, say the Da Vinci Code.
2)A list of all the books you have registered on the site is sent to the owner of the Da Vinci Code.
3) Hurrah! It turns out this user has always wanted to read Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. One of the books on your list is Fingersmith (you hated it). So he says: OK I'll give you the Da Vinci Code if you give me Fingersmith! So you swap! The site does each step automatically for you as well.
Alternatively someone might see one of your books on the site and ask to swap with you. In that case, the whole process just works in reverse.
You can also reject the swap. So if someone wants one of your books but you don't want any of his/her books you just say no thanks and you don't have to swap.
It's actually really simple, as the site says, a lot like swapping stuff with friends. You can find out more here:

Also I think this is quite interesting, here they talk about person-to-person swapping vs credit swapping:

Not sure about this - but I remember a few years ago, if you were posting something and told the po it only contained ' the printed word' it was cheaper again - might be worth checking out as it may be cheaper than 2nd classNo Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

I think that sending 'printed papers' is only cheaper when sending stuff abroad - don't think it counts in the UK.SW: Wk1 (5) Wk2 (2.5) Wk3 - Wk 4 (4) Wk 5 - (1.5) Wk 6 (1) Total off 1 stone!:j0

Has anyone seen there are lots of new changes to ReadItSwapIt? You can now search for books by users so you can swap lots of books with one user.0
