Where do I stand with returning underwear?

I bought my son a couple of packs of boxer shorts from Primark today. He has a size 32" waist and I bought size medium (which says on the pack that it fits waist size 33"-35").

When he tried them on at home they are far too small but on the receipt it states 'No refund or exchange on briefs/boxers'.

Am I now stuck with pants that don't fit?

You cannot return them for health reasons, the same rule applies to body jewelry. You could try arguing that they are not the size stated on the pack, but I doubt that you'll get anywhere.

No you cant return them unless they are clearly faulty, unfortunatly wrong sizes do not count

You stated a couple of packs! Has long as the other packs are not open , There should be no problem in returning them unopened.

I'm pretty sure that they will even refuse to refund sealed packs.

They will- they usually tell me when I'm getting my socks that they're not returnable at all, opened or not.

Think about it the other way OP, would you want to run the risk of buying boxers that someone else has worn? This should make the loss easier to bear, it would with me!

Unfortunately the packs aren't even sealed - they just do up with a plastic popper!

Oh well looks like I'm stuck with 6 pairs of hipster pants that don't fit anyone

Some charity shops will not accept underwear for the same health reasons, but it varies from one to another.

The no refunds bit on the receipt doesn’t apply if they are wrongly described or faulty
