Sorry to hear about your situation.
A deduction of earnings order can take a few weeks to bring in money. Have you checked what benefits you might be entitled to ? Tax credits?
All the best.0 -
I get tax credits already but if I lose the CSA payment its £69 per week, I am paying the mortgage on the house and trying to hold my own, I know i would be better off in a rented house and have my housing and council tax paid but I dont want to live like that,im working and trying to hold my own and that makes me smile to say.. this is our house.. me and the kids. I have done it on my own without benifits.
I will defo ring them monday, as this is not the first time this has happened, and he is living with someone too so she pays half the bills, he hasnt had to buy chritmas presents for his kids.. because he never gave them anything. and all he does is go out and get pi££ed with his mates,
Makes me mad sometimes that we struggle and he has just decided not to pay for his kids,
Thanks to you all xxBR on 21st December 2009.. life begins!0 -

I think kelloggs36 meant, 'is that all' to the six weeks waiting period, not the 69 quid.
I may be wrong however.0 -
does that mean it takes longer???BR on 21st December 2009.. life begins!0

Just wanted to say that the CSA have had my ex's employers details, addresses, telephone numbers etc etc for 8 months and still havent been able to set up a Deduction of Earnings so it may take longer than 6 weeks, not to disppoint you but just being realistic.
You are doing a fantsatic job by the way, much credit to you, your children will grow up to be so proud of you x0 -

That is what I meant!!!!! Many of us PWCs have had to wait for many years to get any money from an NRP who doesn't want to pay - so 6 weeks is nothing in the grand scheme of things - that's all I'm saying!!0 -
Oh dear... so whats all this they say on the news about non paying parents will not be treated lightly!! they could have there driving licence removed blab blab blab... is it all male cow poo? Thanks Kelloggs xxBR on 21st December 2009.. life begins!0
