Woolworth's poor sale.

  • Most things were marked down again at the till, I bought a few cards as they were fairly cheap (around 80p-£1) got to the till and they were 7p, went back and bought loads, even got musical/sound cards for 7p, I think I have got one for just about every event this year!

One where i visit was rubbish, all over it was advertised as 70% sale, but most items you were lucky to be getting 10% off!

    DVD's were especially poor.

There was not much stuff in our local woolworths. Cards, few calenders etc. I bought a calender which was 4.99 i paid 1.49. I was pleased with that. And got 20 pound top up for half price. Its first come first served i suppose ... which is the way to get the bargains ! x

  • I agree that the sale was terrible, I'm a avid reader and thought it would be a perfect opportunity to get some nice reduced books.. Ha looks like the books were the only thing that no one wanted to buy cos they were still so expensive. £8 with 10% off. It was cheaper for me to go to WHsmiths.

Hardly a mass of bargains but there were a few. I picked up a Hancock DVD for £7.49. Definitely a lot cheaper than anywhere else, including online.

I must say, i withdraw my previous comment.

    Fonejacker series 2 for £4! :)
  • Well anything of great value was removed and sold on to another, before joe public got to see it . Some items were passed on to companies which sell bankrupt stock. All left in the store was what was in the main the rubbish. ZAVIE OR WHAT EVER IT IS CALLED WERE STRIPPING THE SHELVES OF ITEMS THEY COULD SELL ON, AS THE PUBLIC WERE LEFT TO BUY WHAT YOU COULD GET CHEAPER ON LINE.
