  • It'sabout 9 months since I last posted on this thread - but it's a new years' resolution to start again!

    Today I have:

    - Just made home made broth which is nicely simmering away. Thought I'd ruined it by throwing in some red wine but it tastes yummy so far! :money:

    - Had a NSD :T
    - Arranged to collect a winter coat from freecycle

Can't think of anything else but I'm sure once I get backin the habit my list will be longer:rolleyes:

    Hi Again,

Just had a mammoth room tidying session, and it is official. I do not need the following..........
    * shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, medicines etc
    * ANY form of stationary (I found thousands of biro's, 4 staplers , 3 hole punches  and about 5 A4 notepads)
    * magazines (apart from WW which I budget for

    But I did find.......
    * my gym membership card
    * a couple of CCCS statements
    * my library card (great, I can now start to borrow books again)

    Take care,
    Candy xxx

I have no idea who this Matt Smith is, and I did look at him and think "Eek, Emo-Who" but he seems like a nice enough guy and his excitement about being the Doctor was tangible. Thus I deem him worthy, if slightly less crumpety than I was hoping for.

    Hi all!!

No socks on at the moment, but I did commandeer t'other halfs Atari t-shirt for doing the housework in. I love geekery :D Shameless copy and paste below from my own thread, I woke up at flipping six o clock this morning...

Today I have done or will do:

    • [strike]Washing. One load done, another in the machine already.[/strike][strike] 3rd load is in the machine at the moment (And it's only 8.30am!) and once that's done I'm finished with washing as I will have run out of hanging up room[/strike]
    • [strike]Download TurboLister to list items on Ebay[/strike]
    • [strike]Put pictures on to PC to try and make sure Ebay items sell![/strike]
    • [strike]List more Ebay stuff[/strike]
    • [strike]Tidy kitchen[/strike]
    • Tidy living room Doneish. Not as clean as I would like, but less carp lying around
    • [strike]Go to Post Office (again) as it was shut yesterday and post three items sold on Amazon[/strike]
    • [strike]Check online banking [/strike]
    • [strike]Make my PAD[/strike]
In addition to this, I have also:

    • Cleaned out cupboard under the sink and inventoried it so I know what cleaning products I need to buy. I don't need washing up liquid - I found eight (!!) bottles hiding under old plastic bags.
    • Cleaned out storecupboard so I can go and buy supplies later on. I really don't need much - just canned tomatoes and some non-stick scoury things.
Next plan is to get better half out of bed, go to Post Office and take down Christmas tree, then clean out more cupboards. Once I have a nice clean house I can sit down and find out who the new Doctor Who is :j:j:j

Also made dinner - tuna steaks that were reduced to £2.30 in Asda and tidied out my storage gubbins cupboard in the kitchen. For some reason I have six tubs without lids and four lids without tubs, which sadly don't go together...

My Ebay items aren't going great guns, but one of them has 11 watchers :D so I'm hopeful that it at least will sell.

Enjoy what's left of your night all!
  • Well back from Turkey, Happy New year folks.

Had a really good break and landed back at Gatwick last night, from then on things went rapidly south.

Picked up Car from Hotel, drove it 1/2 mile made horrendous noise from wheels drove it back round car park seemed ok. Drove about 3 miles carried on making nasty noise, could I find green flag info, so rang dd conversation went, "Hi I need you to do me a really big favour, can you get me the number for green flag from interenet" reply Oh you are joking whats wrong with the car. lol. Bless her she found number and tried not to sound worried (she's only 17) So out they came to tow us home, had to swap loader and driver half way as it was too far for 1 driver. It was freezing in 2nd one and didn't have warmest clothes on anyway arrived home about 3.30am, House looked ok all fine, driver turns low loader round we get out to open doors and realise that the front wall that was fine 5 mins before has now been demolished, (not a happy driver). House freezing turn on heating, ds busting for toilet, runs upstairs and quickly back down saying, did we know there is glass all over the bathroom (well we did then) double glazing panel had imploded. dh just shut bathroom door saying I will clean it up in morning. Everyone goes to bed I was freezing, just didn't warm up.

Got up about 9 am rang garage nobody there; we had some work done 2 days before we went away and when i got in it the handbrake wasn't right, mentioned it to the nice young man and he gave me a beligerent. "I haven't touched the handbrake" offered to strip down and charge me for priveledge thought i would slink off, ha didn't, saw his boss who pointed out where he had not adjusted handbrake back  "fixed" it. It didn't feel quite right, but it seemed Ok and after all he is the mechanic.:p Dh wasn't happy driving it down to gatwick, said it seemed to pull very slightly and the handbrake became sloppier. So that was put on our "To do" list when we return. (Guess what was causing the horrendous noise, yep you got it.) Garage was shut this morning so guess where i will be on monday morning.:o.

Anyway had a nice warm shower to here dh shout "where's the black hand luggage case" :D Where indeed, you know the one, with my hairdryer, my straighteners my perfume, my scarf,................ Where did we last see it, oh i remember going into the luggage trailer at Gatwick. So rang the Worth, yes the nice man said they had it and yes they would send it on to me, obviously I will need to pay

Anything else you may ask.Yes little dog still in kennels:o I have no car,

But I do have good friends :D Who took me to Asda so I could buy some shopping and fetch little dog:jso i paid the ransome of £150 and she is now home.

And my other friend rang to say dh could borrow her car next week for work as her dh isn't working

And considering we have been in Turkey for 2 weeks what did ds want for dinner........ Donner meat and fries, and as I was past caring I caved in and bought it

So what does this have to do with "what small things have you done............."

    The answer is
    I HAVE DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

But I promise to try harder tomorrow (Sorry about rant but I thought my head would explode:D:eek:)

My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly
