Deagostini

As an addendum to this a friend of mine works in the distribution business and he has some interesting points to make about Deagostini. Apparently the first few issues are 'Sale Or Return' for the newsagent, like most magazines, so they can stock as many as they like without any risk. After a few issues this stops, so the newsagent is taking a gamble on any stocked. Generally the demand for pre-ordered issues stops after a few months and Deagostini then don't bother distributing the rest of the issues.
I wouldn't touch any of their overpriced tat with a bargepole, that said I did have a complete 'Home Computer Course' set circa 1988
