I am fed-up with alliance leicester as well.
When i send money into account it takes sometimes 7-10 days to clear but when i sent money from alliance leicester to somewhere money goes out of account immediately but never reaches the other end in 3 working days.

2 years ago I was overdrawn about £11 and because of that they charged me overdraft fees which made my other payments deferred and got charged for all of them,going overdrawn,returned direct debits which was a excess of £200 for 2 days.
(when I gone overdrawn for £11 I realised it that day and put money into account 9.00 am and the company took direct debit 3 days earlier so it wasnt my fault either)
And Alliance leicester was ever so unhelpful.
I have tried to close my account on numerous attempts but always had a problem with them.Now account is open but there is no direct debit or whatsoever.
I opened my hubby an account to get that £100 incentive but after 3 months we received and letter saying that he wasnt eligible as he didnt have any direct debit from the other bank.
(I remember T&C saying was standing orders)anyway he closed the account.
Now its my turn to close it

i hope you have written to them and reclaimed all your charges etc.....it's the principle for me...i'll take it to court if i have to....i have written a letter to the FOS and trading standads...i haven't sent them yet...but they are ready.

it has been one of the most stressful things thats ever happened to be honest......i can't believe they can get away with it...well they won't because i'm not going to let them!!!
