Closing an ISA

Are there any rules regarding shutting an ISA? I've been asking First Direct repeatedly via online messages to close mine so I can get the money back out as I need it, and they are totally ignoring all requests to shut it or even cancel the standing order from my current order into the ISA.
I'm getting concerned whether there are any rules and I cannot get it out until April?
Thanks in advance!

Nope.
If its fixed rate you will lose interest upto X days usually.
Other than that they are most probably just ignoring you.0 -
I assume that this is the Regular Saver ISA, as you are talking about closure?
Have you tried the alternative contact methods, given on http://www.firstdirect.com/legals/regular_saver_isa.shtml?12.1 If you wish to close your Account at any time you may tell us by telephone, secure e-message via Internet Banking or in writing. Closure is subject to completion of any outstanding transactions. We will normally pay to you the value of your Account within seven Business Weekdays of receipt by us of your instructions. No notice period is required.0 -
Thanks for that!0
