downloading msn

Hi all,
Have just purchased a new laptop and have been trying to download MSN, however when downloading it says Ihave to be connected to the internet, which i have been. Have disconnected and reconnected several times but no difference. Can anyone make any suggestions please?:confused:

    How are you connected to the internet? And, can you view other internet sites?

    Also, are you trying to download from MSN main site here?

    am definately connected to the internat as have my home page running in the background.
    Have been trying to download from the main site, am going to try again.

    Have you been to otehr sites rather than your homepage? That could simply be your internet cache?

    I know the WLInstaller can bring up the error you are getting.

    This is version 8.5, not sure if you want version 9.

    why bother installing just use meebo,you can get an addon for firefox so it works in your browser

    I always question how safe it is to use things of that nature. Id hazard a guess the hackers would try to hack that over the standard programs.

    have you downloaded msn but it won't connect or
    can't you download the program at all?

    Hi all thanks for the replies.
    Yes i can go to other sites with no problems.
    I get part way through running the download and it suddenly says i'm off line when i'm not..
    Will try and download version 9 now.
