Your choice. I've had several accounts with them over the years (still have >25k in fixed rates) and have always found them to be OK, others on these forums report different experiences.

My OH has put her icesave cash into two term accounts with them.
    No issues setting them up.
Good rate given the way they are tumbling.

    Fully covered by FSCS 50K.

I had money with them and had no problems operating the account online and was perfectly satisfied. However I also had money in Icesave and when that collapsed I also withdrew my funds from ICICI.
ICICI is covered by the FSCS upto £50,000 but if it was to go bust if anything like ICESAVE there will be stress, worry and loss of interest awaiting the compensation which might make you consider was it all worth it for the extra interest.
I cant say how safe Icici is.

The worst customer service of any organisation that I have ever experienced.

I certainly had no problems with customer service. Most things were dealt with easily online but on the few occassions I emailed for advice I received a prompt reply.
When withdrawing my money I was in a bit of a panic ( at the time of the Icesave request) and I requested a Chaps transfer of my funds. ICICI was was overwhelmed at the time, only time I found some difficulty accessing the website, and my funds did not arrive in my account for a few days. Even prior to complaining I noted that ICICI had refunded my account with the £20 Chaps transfer fee.
When my current fixed rates finnish and hopefully there is some better stability in the Banks then I would have no hesitation in returning to them.
Compared to Tesco Finance their customer service is AAA+!

I have had money in ICICI For the last 2 years -
they have always been ok for me -

    However.................
I have taken 99% of my money out of there becasue of the Icesave and Kaupthing edge fiasco. Foreign banks have burnt me once and to be honest I am much happier getting .75% less, but having my money in British Banks at preset.

This is only my opinion - and Because I had money in ICESAVE and Kaupthing edge I was a nervous wreck this autumn, and vowed never to feel like that again............. so my money has been shiped to UK Owned banks/Building Societies.

In addition - The daily mail have withdrawn ICICI bank from the best buy tables - heres the article - http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/saving-and-banking/article.html?in_article_id=453104&in_page_id=7

That's a rather old article in these fast-moving times - ICICI is back in the 'This is Money' best buy table (as of 23rd December), but with a 'caution' caveat - http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/saving-and-banking/best-savings-rate/article.html?in_article_id=394164&in_page_id=50
