hi everyone, just recieved a letter from mbna offering 0% on balance transfers till feb 2010. now this is ideal for me as would have both cc debts 0% but before i see if i can get it wanted to know if mbna are any good as heard some things that are a bit off putting, i.e moving repayment dates so end up paying late incurring fees and black marks.
am due to renew mortgage this year so understandably dont want any black marks going against me.
thanks in advance!!!!

You could get 0% until April 2010 with a Virgin Money card, also run by MBNA.
Personally, I think MBNA are great! But then again I've never breached their T&C's or carried a balance over once the 0% introductory period expired.0 -
ooh now that offer sounds even better!!! do you make the minimum payment by derict debit then top it up?????December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

I like MBNA as well. The only problem I find is that they send you very tempting blank cheques for you to put into your bank account on a regular basis. You need to be strong willed to tear them up.
Sorry, I normally lurk here but spend more time over at DFW and MSOS.:T £2.00 coin saver number 059

I have a couple of cards via MBNA and had no problems. Always found them easy to deal with but as said earlier, never been late etc so not sure how they would fair when dealing with a problem0

Hi Rags,
I have an MBNA and have had no probs. I changed my current bank account recently and there was problems with the transferring of DDs so ended up paying my MBNA card a couple of days late. When I got my statement they had added a late payment and a bounced dd charge. I called them up and was very nice and apologetic and they agreed to remove both charges and keep my introductory rate. Very good of them really
I have a DD that pays off the minimum and then I make extra payments where I can.
So yes, I think they are great, CS is very friendly and polite0 -
I've had my MBNA Plat card for years. I get regular 0% offers and have always found their customer service reps to be polite and helpful. They treat people as they are treated. You pay your bills on time and you will have no probs. The only people I have heard complaining about them are the one's who don't pay for whatever reason. I recommend them.:T~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0

Hi Rags
I applied to Virgin online and was also told 7-10 days. Took slightly longer than that but was approved with decent credit limit. Hope this helps.0 -

I've had blank cheques off them too - as have most of their customers I imagine. There is a sentence that says that you can request no more to be sent. Maybe it should be in larger type.0 -

I have taken advantage of their promotional offers alot and provided you keep within the terms and conditions you should be ok. Also do set up a dd for the min payment.0
