Cashback to O2 airtime account

Can anyone confirm that if you receive an airtime cashback credit at month 12 of a 12 month contract and then cancel the contract, do you get a refund of the credit that is in your account?

Dialaphone has confirmed on the phone that i have to remain connected to o2 to claim the last cash back.o2 has confirmed in written that all the credit amount will be sent to your bank account at the end of contract if customer wishes but they declined to comment that if my account is inactive then they will honour the cash back or not at the end of the 12th month.To be safe one need to be connected until the dap credit the o2 airtime account.
