I too think it's wonderful that you've noticed & care.

This world would definetely be a better place if there was more people like you.

I'd rather take an elderly relation home after Christmas to find their door off it's hinges because somebody noticed & cared than know that they were left seriously ill, or worse, for weeks because nobody cared enough to notice.

Please let us know the outcome.

    UPDATE: she's safe!

Thanks everyone for your help and kindness. When I called the hospital they suggested that I call her doctor to see if they had next of kin listed on her medical records. The surgery has just had a call back to say she is at her daughter's house, apparently she was taken ill while shopping with them on New Year's Eve so she's staying there for the time being. She's a little poorly but she's safe and well :D I was so relieved to hear it I could have cried! So I've called the police back and told them she's fine. I think it might be an idea to get a phone number for a family member from her and the other neighbours just in case. The weather and the flu are not good for pensioners.

Thanks for all of the comments about noticing and caring, but it's really nothing. It's nice to be able to make a big difference with such tiny actions :)

I bet her daughter was really pleased that you were ringing around on behalf of her Mum, I know I would be if it was an elderly relative of mine!

Glad everything is well though :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Good news! I'm sure she'll be heartened to know that you were worried about her.
I hope she feels better soon.
