Well I didnt get the iPhone (yuck), I took the X1 instead. Being a 'smartphone' it is constantly connected to the internet to retrieve emails etc.
Anyway, the unlimited internet was a free bolt on which O2 now include in all contracts.
I explained to them that I wasn't willing to pay £150 for a phone on an 18mnth contract costing £30 for 600mins 600txts.
On average I use about 150 minutes and 1000ish messages so im going to see if I can lose some minutes and lower the price. As for people saying get a second job.
It kinda hard when your a student that works at the weekends and after Uni when I can, as well as trying to revise for exams, doing 25,000 word dissertations and projects.Cashback

Okay then try living within your means instead then. Kind of a novel idea to some I guess?

The point is that Im getting billed for stuff I was unaware of. I told the guy when I upgraded that it was still expensive but he assured me it was the best deal, I felt pressured into saying yes lolCashback

18 x 30 = £540
18 x 45 = £810
If you had paid the £150 upfront for the handset, you would have saved £120 over the life of the contract. It's worth looking at the overall cost of the contract...0 -

Yes but that comes with 600txts. I would have gone over that all the time and ended up racking up a larger bill every month.

I had this problem with vodaphone in that they signed me up to the wrong contract. I never managed to resolve it as it was my word against theirs.0

So... the problem is greed. You wanted a shiny expensive phone, but you couldn't really afford it
Sell it, get a cheapo phone and put the sim in - job done0 -

Unlimited text bolt-on. £7.50. Job done. And you get one free bolt-on - that'll be the web browsing. So £37.50 a month, and still 450 (7 hours) more minutes than you need.0
